George Walton: wide tapestry George Walton (1867-1933) designed this 54 inches wide tapestry in 1930. It's called The Grill. There are articles about his relationship with Sir James Morton, who ran Morton Sundour Fabrics and  established Edinburgh Weavers in 1928, here and here. Also there is a new book by Lesley Jackson, about James Morton's son, called Alastair Morton and Edinburgh Weavers: Visionary Textiles and Modern Art.
